Tips
- Frances big day at the Biltmores Bastille Day bash (Cellar Club members, $89; guests, $109). The festivities begin at 6 p.m. with a petanque tournament. Also: live-jazz & a five-course dinner.
- One of our reviewers says, "They pair traditional French with tropical ingredients for dishes such as braised Dover sole with celery served with carrot beurre blanc." -DK Eyewitness on TripExpert
- Must-order dishes include: pan seared turbot filet with sturgeon caviar, potato Boulangere and leeks, and the chilled foie gras terrine with chutney and warm brioche toast. [Eater 38 Member]
- Love it- great for a romantic time.
- I was a bit disappointed in the service.
- From the first sip of Champagne to the last bite of chocolate souffl with house-churned vanilla ice cream, Palme d'Or pulls off fancy without being fussy.
- At the historic, landmark Biltmore Hotel's top-end restaurant, the food is French -- but it's far from traditional.
- Terrific food in a classic Miami hotel. Just a few blocks from where I grew up, but far off the beaten path for most tourists (which is why the hotel was out of business from the '30s to the 80s).
- Enough offerings to satisfy any cravy from the lobster fricasse to lamb tenderloin. Or go for a tasting-plate where you can pick from 20 different dishes to try a little bit of everything.
- Try the small-plates tasting menu for a sampling of various tasty dishes, including frog legs and roasted duck breast. This restaurant is fancy, not fussy, and the staff will cater to your every whim.
- Everything! Great staff!
- Don't eat too much bread, you will need the space for all the delicious food
- Service was not what I would have expected. The tasting menu was good.
