Foursquare Tips

  • Bananas foster is a must.
  • complimentary bread in a bag is so good. bananas foster flambed by your table is a must.
  • Palace Cafe offers a "Temperature Lunch" on weekdays during the summer. It's a two course special menu priced at yesterday's high (i.e. if it was 95 degrees on Tuesday, Wednesday's lunch is $9.50).
  • Service and atmosphere was great.
  • Order the seafood gumbo - but not if you're hungry; it just opens your appetite for more of N'awlins' good stuff!
  • Dickie Brennan's Palace Cafe is a great place to enjoy lunch on Canal Street. Stop in early afternoon for a sidewalk table and have Shrimp Tchefuncte for a soul-satisfying lunch and a sazerac. Enjoy.
  • Try the Bbq Shrimp, Oyster Loaf, & Crabmeat Cheesecake - Yummy apps!
  • Any day that starts with the oyster pan roast here is a good one. -Gambit's Five in 5

  • The best bananas foster you will ever eat!
  • Drop in just for dessert and sit at the dessert bar. You can watch the chef make all the desserts that are being ordered as well as the rest of the dishes.
  • Get the Crabmeat Cheesecake! OMFG!
  • Came here to cool off, went up stairs to the bar and did not want to leave! Great service, live music!
  • Seafood gumbo and Brie fondue were incredible.
  • Skip the praline French toast at brunch. Too sweet.
  • For Lunch the Crab Quiche' was excellent. Rory at the bar was great to help get our to go order ready. The Palace Punch nice is a refreshing drink. Enjoyed it.

  • Terrible place. Took forever to get my food. Very uppity for REGULAR TASTING FOOD, and I grew up with UPPITY. Believe me I've had delicious food; my parents make great money. This place is shit.
  • The pork shank is huge!
  • Had the first item of shrimp which I cant pronounce and it was delicious. Cajun and creole flavors :) loved it
