Foursquare Tips

  • The second-most-famous oval room in Washington is the one owned by Ashok Bajaj. Top gun Tony Conte delights in slipping surprises into his cooking.
  • Great food, romantic setting. A definite must visit. Must try the Pastrami cured Kanpachi. Chef Tony is a genius! -Tamesha Warren, Top Chef
  • Tasting menu is a must. Do it without the wine pairing, definitely add the lobster and split a bottle of white or red for the table!
  • The Hawaii shrimp are amazing. Duck awesome.
  • *** 1/2 stars in Tom Sietsema's Fall Dining Guide 2011. (Tom recommends the butternut squash soup.) http://wapo.st/r8OXDJ
  • Try the hazelnut dacquoise with salted caramel ice cream and candied peanuts. It's the best faux Snickers bar you'll ever have.
  • Restaurant Week
  • Wonderful encrusted tuna. And Meghan is a superb server!
  • The pork chop was cooked perfectly and the cream cheese ice cream was delicious!
  • Brioche donut holes. Enough said.
  • Beet salad is always fantastic!
  • Shoddy uninformed service. Mostly passable food with exorbitant pretense.
  • Absolutely awful, maybe because it was restaurant week, but creepy server, mediocre (at best) food, and uninspiring ambience.. Also my cheesecake came in liquid form - woof.
  • Very nice atmosphere, but is ruined by the management being pretentious assholes.
  • Extremely delicious!!!
  • The bar is tiny, and you will wait Forever for your $14 vodka soda.
  • Dishes at Ashok Bajajs dining room are always elegant, but theres also a playful side to chef Tony Contes food. Take the butternut-squash soup with olives and banana? In Contes hands, it works.
  • Great location and the Cobb Salad is fantastic. Pair it with a glass of Lucient Albrect champagne
  • Try the duck or rockfish both are delicious. Also the service here is the best!
  • Strongly consider the Cable Car
