Foursquare Tips

  • Best bread in Edinburgh!)
  • Love the olives and bread and they are just the snacks!
  • Disregard the previous comment on interior, it is quite nice when it's not filled to capacity. The rest still stands though :)
  • Amazing seafood, bread, chicken and drink. Highly recommended. Came on the advice of other foursquare tips. Thanks foursquare!
  • Good bread and olives to start. The veal was cooked well, though I wasn't convinced by the pairing with orange jus barley. Very atmospheric, if a little on the dark side!
  • My mussels were served in a huge plate, and are definitely a must if you like mussels. Switch to garlic fries, and try out the pigeon breast as a starter. Espresso martini for the finish :)
  • Bad service. High prices and very average quality of food. Totally overrated and not worth going.
  • Lovely view, friendly service and a damn fine steak sandwich at Lunchtime!
  • The interior will make you vomit. But that add some space in your stomach for the delicious food served in this venue.
  • Mussels + wine goooooood! - probably nice view if u book ahead and ask for next to window. 2nd time I was here I got the pork belly + scallops. There were only 2 scallops - avoid!
  • No draught beers or cocktails. Go across the street to the Villager for a great time before or after a good meal here.
  • Steak & chips. Medium. Perfecto.
  • Ask for a table with a view of the castle!
  • One or two vegan options but very yummy, thoughtful staff and pretty views of the castle out the window
  • , , . ! ! . !
  • The hake was delicious! The chicken and prawns was very tasty as well but I would prefer more prawns inside. It is a great restaurant with beautiful view of Edinburgh castle! Definitely recommended!
  • Great place. Modern. Minimalist. Affordable. Central. Elegant. Good food.
  • Well not bad! Loved the antique Picquot Ware teapots Steak ciabatta was very good. Gives the feel of quality but in a very reasonable price.
  • The in-house soup with bread is a delight. The sweet potato fries with chive is a good side to peg on. Try to book in advance if you'd like it to walk in like you own the place ;)
  • Cheap but a bit slow
