(RestaurantNews.com) Jimmy Hula’s has opened their first location in Brandon, Florida at 312 E Brandon Blvd, with 15 more locations on the way in the Tampa-St.Petersburg market. Jimmy Hula’s has also opened a second location in the Jacksonville market. The second restaurant is located at 174 Blanding Blvd, in Orange Park, FL.
Jimmy Hula’s specializes in award-winning Fish Tacos, Island Style Burgers and Craft Beers. The Orlando based chain started in Winter Park, Florida in 2011 and opened its first franchised location in Lake Mary in 2013.
Jimmy Hula’s describes their offerings as “Food Nirvana.” The island themed restaurant is a beach within reach for hungry restaurant goers. Jimmy Hula’s is a fast casual dining establishment that focuses on an eclectic variety of fish and fusion tacos, gourmet burgers, island bowls, soups, salads, craft beer and wine all inspired by Jimmy Hula’s surf travels across the globe. The island/surf culture-themed concept has created a cult like following of “locals”.
While Jimmy Hula’s locations vary in size from 2300 to 4000 square feet, the average unit is around 3200 square feet and all Jimmy Hula’s locations feature a patio with outdoor seating. All Jimmy Hula’s location serve beer and wine, and some will feature a full liquor bar.
Jimmy Hula’s Licensing, LLC is currently in negotiation with a group to further develop the Jacksonville market over the next few years.
Jimmy Hula’s Licensing has licensed 15 additional units in the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater market, 10 units in Sarasota and Manatee counties , and 10 units to be opened in the Miami market. Bringing the total of open and to be developed stores to 44 units.
