Foursquare Tips

  • $20 tickets to the Bowmer are just as good as the $75 ones. No joke. "She Loves Me" was amazing btw.
  • I didn't think I liked Shakespeare until I came here for the first time, and now I try to travel from Seattle to here every year. All the plays are world class and more than Shakespeare, too.
  • This Tony Award winning festival is seriously good and has made the small town of Ashland famous. Every play features world class actors who deliver amazing performances throughout the season.
  • If you're in Ashland for more than a night, you have to see a show! It's SO worth the money & you won't be disappointed. Take a stroll downtown before/after the show to window shop & for fine dining.
  • If you are between the ages of 19-35, sign up to get their 19-35 promo! Weekly email of shows, with open seats available for $25 each! Currently sitting 5 rows from the stage, dead center, for 1/4 $$$
  • Great theater, pubs and shops.
  • Green shows are free! 715pm T-Su from Memorial day to Labor day. Then, stop by the box office to see if there are any rush tickets (cheaper!) for that nights shows.
  • Just see everything
  • Three venues operate most of the year though all stages dark approx Nov-Jan. Elizabethan is beautiful but can be chilly off season. Roam the wonderful downtown and park.
  • Don't skip the backstage tours. Excellent guides with really interesting information.
  • Beautiful town, great plays, great dining options. Walk everywhere.
  • I have attended once or twice where I enjoyed my time. Back in the late 80's when my parents discovered Ashland, OSF & everything the city has to offer they came every year until they retired here.
  • Very excited to see The Count of Monte Cristo & Fingersmith this season...oh and much much more!!! So excited.
  • Two Gents of Verona.
  • Any seat is a good seat unless you don't like the sides. Make time before the show to walk through downtown Ashland.
  • Bring your bike! It's a beautiful place to ride before an evening show
  • Pirates of Penzance is amazing! I highly reccommend it! Great to bring kids to also. :)
  • I got to sing a Greenshow one year and forgot to use my free tickets. Bummer!
  • Amazing performances. Quality productions. A must if you love live theatre.
