Wild Elephant Crashes Tourists' Safari Dinner Party In Zimbabwe

A wild bull elephant must have decided he was quite fed up with the group of tourists who decided to set up their dinner table in the middle of his wildlife reserve, because he rather abruptly decided to escort them out.

Or rather, shove them out. In a video posted to YouTube, a group of visitors to Mana Pools, a conservation park in Zimbabwe, is observed by a slender elephant with what begins as curiosity. That turns into irritation, and the young elephant heads for the crowd, using his trunk to eject two unlucky diners from their seats. The rest of the table wises up fast and removes themselves voluntarily, leaving the elephant to gloat.

On YouTube, a member of the group provided some clarity to the footage.

"As we were eating brunch an elephant was eating pods off of the ground and as it approached we were told to stay very still, which we did. To CLARIFY, nobody was feeding the elephant and nobody threw anything. A pod fell from the tree behind where we were sitting, this is what the elephant was eating the entire time. The elephant which had poor eyesight was startled when it walked upon us. It then swung its trunk and head and hit Shane and Stephen. We respected the elephant's territory and this is their HOME. We love these amazing animals and support African tourism. We were lucky to walk away from this."
