These Stunning Avatar-Inspired Desserts Just Debuted At Disney World

Next month, the lush world of the Na'vi comes magically to life in theme-park form at Disney's Animal Kingdom. But besides the inevitable long lines and overpriced merchandise, one of the most appealing aspects of the new feature (called "Pandora — The World of Avatar") is the desserts. Stefan Riemer, executive pastry chef of Satu'li Canteen — which will be the first Disney restaurant to implement mobile ordering — has created some breathtaking desserts, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

Inspired by the blue skin color and healthy (but exotic) diets of the alien Na'vi creatures, these sweet delicacies include Blueberry Cheesecake with Passion Curd and Chocolate Cake with a Crunchy Cookie, Banana Cream, and Goji Berries. The cheesecake is made with cream cheese and blueberries and topped with passion fruit, while the chocolate cake contains white chocolate, bananas, and cream and is topped with banana cream, a drizzle of lemon, and a syrup-hydrated goji berry. Both look too pretty to eat (but are definitely worth it for that sweet Instagram).

From these desserts, it looks like Disney is stepping up its food game. Sa'tuli Canteen will also offer bao buns and customizable quinoa bowls. So much for burgers and fries, right?
