Take a Culinary Tour of Israel This Summer with Alon Shaya and Michael Solomonov
This summer, Israeli chef Alon Shaya — of Shaya, Domenica, and Pizza Domenica in New Orleans — invites all lovers of Israeli cuisine to join him and three other prominent chefs for a culinary tour of Israel, which Shaya promises will include the best hummus in the world.
Also joining the tour will be Michael Solomonov of Zahav in Philadelphia, John Currence of City Grocery in Oxford, Mississippi; and Ashley Christensen of Pooles Diner in Raleigh, North Carolina. Together, you and the chefs will explore Israel’s best restaurants and markets, and meet some of the country’s most talented artisans.
“We will travel to Jerusalem and explore the holy sites as well as hit the beach in Tel Aviv, taste world-class wines in the same fields they are grown in, meet an artisan goat cheese producer in the Judean hills, and hike up waterfalls in an oasis by the Dead Sea,” Shaya announced in a press release. “You will not come back hungry, we promise.”
The chefs’ tour of Israel will take place from June 26 to July 5 and includes round-trip airfare and hotel accommodations.
