Savor The Force: There's A Star Wars Restaurant Opening Soon In Disney World

A not so long time ago in a Disney resort about a thousand miles away... the Star Wars restaurant was born. That's right: In anticipation of the upcoming Star Wars film from JJ Abrams, Disney World's annual Star Wars weekends will feature a new culinary experience that could feed a whole army of stormtroopers: the Rebel Hangar, a Star Wars lounge experience in Hollywood Studios from May 14 to June 15.

According to StarWars.com, the restaurant will feature Star Wars-themed food and drinks with cleverly referenced names. The photos even show a bowl of salsa dip artfully designed to look like the face of Dark Maul with some expertly placed black pepper. Some of the menu highlights include Ensalada Naboo (seared chicken breast, bibb lettuce, grape tomatoes, watermelon radish, almond frica, and a Parmigiano-Reggiano-peppercorn ranch dressing); a slider sampler featuring "The Sith" barbecue-braised brisket with coleslaw and "The Jedi" barbecued pulled chicken with arugula; and a drink called The Dark Side (Stoli vanilla vodka, Bailey's liqueur, crème de cocoa, and brownie garnish).

Jabba the Hut and Yoda cupcakes will also be available at the restaurant, as well as other locations throughout Hollywood Studios: Tusken Fridge Raiders, Trolley Car Café, Starring Rolls Cafe, and Backlot Express.
