Le Cirque Is Opening A New Location In Dubai

Less than two days after filing for bankruptcy for both Le Cirque and Circo, the Maccioni Restaurant Group has announced the opening of a new Le Cirque location at the Ritz-Carlton in Dubai. It is the restaurant group's first foray into the Middle East.

The new restaurant opens on April 12 and will feature new dishes from chef Manuel Olveira Seller "taking inspiration from" the original menu, like paupiette of sea bass, lobster risotto, and scallops black tie, and will be continuing the culinary legacy of iconic restaurateur Sirio Maccioni.

"Seeing the development of a four-decade-old brand evolve to suit the modern Middle Eastern market has been an interesting and exciting evolution," Mauro Maccioni, the son of Sirio Maccioni said in a statement. "The opening team have worked relentlessly to develop new dishes and create a superb overall dining experience that is suited to the region, while acknowledging Le Cirque's rich heritage, taking the best from New York to create a Le Cirque for a new generation."
