José Andrés Is Opening A Restaurant In Disney World

Ever since Disney announced the completion of Orlando's Disney Springs (formerly Downtown Disney) in 2015, the new shopping and dining complex has attracted a whole host of famous celebrity chefs. The latest chef to join the Disney lineup is José Andrés, who will be opening an outpost of Jaleo in 2018, according to BizJournals.

The space is being billed as Jaleo's largest location to date, and will feature traditional but casual Spanish cuisine like tapas, paella, seafood, jamón ibérico de Bellota, and wood-grilled pork ibérico, as well as a grab-n-go counter for takeout sandwiches. Jaleo originally opened in Washington, D.C. — Andres' home turf.

Chef Andrés is not the only chef opening a new location at the Happiest (and hungriest) Place on Earth. In 2018, another Wolfgang Puck restaurant, Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill, will join Jaleo in Disney Springs and will feature Mediterranean comfort food. Chef Tony Mantuano of Top Chef is also planning a project in Disney Springs. His restaurant will open later in 2017.
