Brooklyn's First-Ever Food & Wine Festival Is Coming In 2017

This year, for the first time ever, the New York City Wine & Food Festival hosted some events in Brooklyn. But that's not enough for the trendy borough: Time Inc.'s Food & Wine Magazine announced a first-of-its-kind Brooklyn Food & Wine Festival coming to Barclays Center this coming Feb. 17 and 18.The festival will feature some of Brooklyn's finest in the world of the gourmet and gourmand including Mario Batali, Tom Colicchio, Carla Hall, Gail Simmons, and Brooklyn's own Frank Castronovo and Frank Falcinelli.

"Brooklyn is one of the most exciting culinary destinations in the world," said Nilou Motamed, Food & Wine's editor in chief, in a statement. "As a long-time Brooklyn resident, I couldn't be more thrilled to host our newest signature event in this great borough and bring a one-of-a-kind experience to our passionate audience of food lovers. With access to brilliant chefs, authentic local food and ingenious tastemakers and artisans, this will be a celebration of Brooklyn's singular contribution to the culinary zeitgeist."

Festival events will include grand tastings on Friday and Saturday, as well as cooking and wine demonstrations throughout the weekend, musical performances, and VIP talks from industry movers and shakers.

If you want to be a part of it all, think fast. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. EST, this Thursday, Oct. 20, and they will likely sell out quickly.
