This Season Of 'Top Chef' Will Feature A Same-Sex Wedding Catering Challenge

Are you and your same-sex partner still sniffing around for the perfect wedding catering venue? Give Gail Simmons a call. Two cast members have confirmed that the upcoming season of Top Chef (season 13 — boy, that went by fast!) will feature a same-sex wedding officiated by chef Art Smith, James Beard award-winner and former personal chef to Oprah Winfrey and Jeb Bush. Chef Art Smith tweeted his confirmation of the rumors with the hashtag #BigFatGayWedding, while Gail Simmons put out the call for interested couples.

Although Bravo is staying mum on the details, it is likely that contestants on Top Chef will have to cater a gay or lesbian wedding as a competition challenge. With the chaos and drama that goes on backstage during most episodes of Top Chef, we hope the lucky couple will be patient with the red and blue teams.

This season of Top Chef will take place in an entire state (as opposed to a city): Tom Colicchio, Gail Simmons, Padma Lakshmi, and Richard Blais will travel all over California to find the next big culinary talent.
