Rapper Drake Is Opening A Restaurant In His Hometown City Toronto

Drake may have started from the bottom, but now he's back in Toronto (in The 6) opening a new restaurant with his woes.

The new restaurant is called Fring's and he's opening it with one of the city's most prominent chefs, Susur Lee of Lee, Bent, Luckee, and Tunglok Heen.

Fring's had a soft opening on September 21 with celebrities like Jada and Jayden Smith and Serena Williams in attendance. Drake even played DJ for a bit to celebrate the new digs.

Frings are also known as a mixture of French fries and onion rings, but it has not been confirmed if they will be on the menu. Canadian burger chain Harvey's used to carry frings on their menu and were excited to hear the name of Drake's restaurant.

The opening date has not been announced, but as with Lee's other restaurants, Fring's is expected to have Asian influences.

Lee even played up one of Drake's songs called "Hotline Bling" on Instagram and made a post called "Hotline Fring."
