Mike Pence Celebrated His Birthday With A Cake Made By NASA

On Wednesday, Vice President Mike Pence celebrated his 58th birthday as anybody would, with colorful balloons and party hats — but instead of a backyard bash, Pence hopped aboard an Air Force Two en route to Houston to welcome 12 new astronauts in a ceremony at NASA's Johnson Space Center, ABC News reported.

When he arrived in Houston, Pence was presented with a NASA birthday cake that read: "Happy Birthday Vice President Pence."

Pence tweeted a picture of the cake, which featured red, white, and blue frosting along with NASA's logo. The agency told The Daily Meal that the cake was made by NASA official Ginger Kerrick.

"One of the coolest birthday cakes I've ever had. Thanks, @NASA!" Pence tweeted.

A flight aboard an Air Force Two and a cake from NASA weren't the only things the vice president got for his birthday — Planned Parenthood trolled Pence, a staunch critic of the nonprofit, with a fundraiser to collect donations under his name.
