Madonna Has Hired Personal 'Food Police' To Make Sure She Eats Well On Tour

Madonna, whose Rebel Heart tour begins this September, has reportedly hired an aide to act as her very own "food police" while she travels. Her job is simply to ensure that the superstar eats well.

"I call her the food police," Madonna told Entertainment Weekly. "'Are you eating? Did you drink enough water?' I'm like, get off my pole!" The aide's primary role will be to remind Madonna take frequent meal breaks and regulate her diet as she prepares for her six-month tour, which will begin in Montreal, Canada, and conclude in Brisbane, Australia.

As for the show itself, Madonna acknowledges that it's important to balance her new work with her classic repertoire.

"Of course, the thing I'm most excited about doing is my new stuff, because I haven't done it yet and it's fresh," she told Andy Cohen. "But I realize that people want to hear my older stuff, so for me it's always a tricky balance trying to keep some kind of continuity, not only with sound, sonically, but also thematically... a lot of times I have to take the songs and turn them inside out and make them more ironic than straightforward."
