Kelis Wants To Compete On 'Iron Chef'

Could Kelis be the next Iron Chef?

Kelis Rogers, the singer known only as Kelis, who was made famous by her popular 2003 song "Milkshake," recently released her cookbook My Life on a Plate and admitted that she would love to be a contestant on Food Network's Iron Chef.

Kelis graduated from Le Cordon Bleu culinary school and actually released an album in April 2014 called Food, with song titles based on different dishes, like "Jerk Ribs" and "Biscuits n' Gravy." She also has her own show on the Cooking Channel called Saucy and Sweet.

"I would love to do the show but...," Kelis told Page Six. "I cook at my leisure right now and I remember when I graduated from culinary school and when I was working on a line at a restaurant I was so fast because I was seasoned to be that way."

It's clear that Kelis has a passion for food. She has her own line of sauces called Feast.

"Those guys are beasts and they are so fast and so good," Kelis told Page Six, speaking of the show's contestants. "I could be really creative, but definitely moving at my own pace right now. I definitely want to get my chops up."
