Jennifer Lopez Cooks Puerto Rican Chicken Stew For Leah Remini

Jennifer Lopez has spent decades in the spotlight, but that doesn't mean that the talented singer, actress, and designer has lost sight of her cultural roots, and her appreciation for Puerto Rican food.

On Instagram, her longtime friend, King of Queens actress Leah Remini posted a short video of Lopez making dinner, complete with good old Adobo seasoning from Goya.

"Here's my girl making some Puerto Rican food for everybody," Remini says. "Just a normal Puerto Rican girl at home cooking a meal." The dish Lopez is making is pollo guisado, a simple braised chicken dish.

Remini, who has recently opened up to the public about her decision to leave Scientology, has said that she was asked to invite Lopez to the high-profile wedding of prominent Scientologist Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes in 2006. "I can only assume because they wanted to make Jennifer a Scientologist," Remini said during an interview with 20/20 on ABC.
