Gwyneth Paltrow Made A 'Jailbird' Cake In Honor Of Martha Stewart

Remember when Martha Stewart published a Thanksgiving pie spread that she called "Conscious Coupling?"

Following some months of well-placed one-liners about Paltrow's place in the world, the move was a carefully crafted and fairly personal dig at Paltrow, who announced her split from Chris Martin in a goop post called "Conscious Uncoupling."

Stewart wrote in the November issue of Martha Stewart Living, "Every Thanksgiving table should be blessed with the presence of a long-married pair who bring out the best in each other, are completely enamored despite their differences, and leave every other guest thinking, 'I'll have what they're having.'"

Now, Gwyneth has retaliated in her own sweet way — with a holiday dessert called the "Jailbird Cake," which features chocolate wafers and whipped cream.

As you probably remember, Stewart was incarcerated between 2004 and 2005 for securities fraud — also known as insider trading — during which she earned the nickname "M. Diddy."

A source "close to the goop creator" told People Magazine, "The folks at goop know how to have some fun, too. If Martha served up the appetizer, the Jailbird Cake is just desserts."
