Friendly's And Crayola Team Up To Help You Decorate Your Own Ice Cream Cake

Though it may be slightly early (in the Northeast, at least) to think about your plans for summer birthdays and other celebrations, there's been an advancement in the world of ice cream cakes that you need to know about.

Thanks to a partnership between Friendly's and Crayola, you can now design your own ice cream cake, customizable with packets of blue and red icing, rainbow confetti, and green and yellow sprinkles. Each ice cream cake is handmade at Friendly's creamery in Wilbraham, Mass., and then shipped to grocery stores across the country, including Walmart Supercenters.

Whether this cake is your perfect foray into the world of pastry chefs, or you've got a picky kid at home who described a scene from a cartoon you've never heard of as his requested decorating scheme, here's your easy out. Alternately, if you're an office manager and you've got a lot of staff birthdays you'd rather not commit to memory, consider buying in bulk and leaving the work to the Party Planning Committee.

Friendly's new Crayola Decorate Your Own Ice Cream Cake retails for $17.99 to $19.99 per package.
