Chris Christie Says Trump Forced Him To 'Eat The Meatloaf'

New Jersey governor Chris Christie visited the White House this week to talk about the opioid epidemic in his home state, but the news that came out of the serious meeting was about a far more frivolous occurrence. Christie stated that President Trump made him eat meatloaf during lunch and would not allow him to order anything else.

"This is what it's like to be with Trump," Christie told the Associated Press. "He says, 'There's the menu, you guys order whatever you want.' And then he says, 'Chris, you and I are going to have the meatloaf.'"

He then added his reasoning for the menu insistence:

"I'm telling you, the meatloaf is fabulous," Trump reportedly said.

This isn't the first time Trump and Christie's relationship revolved around food. In June, it was reported that then-presidential candidate Trump was using the New Jersey governor as an "errand boy," requiring him to fetch his McDonald's and other fast-food orders.
