Busta Rhymes Arrested And Charged For Throwing Protein Drink At Gym Worker

Busta Rhymes busted moves that got him in trouble in New York City on August 5.

The 43-year-old rapper from Brooklyn has been arrested and charged with assault for throwing a protein drink at a gym worker at Steel Gym in Chelsea.

The bottle hit the worker on the back of the head, but the employee was not seriously injured, according to police. Busta Rhymes, whose real name is Trevor Tahiem Smith Jr., got into an argument with the gym worker because he wanted to bring a videographer in to film him and the worker said no.

The Daily News reported that the two were arguing for a while. Busta apparently splashed water at the worker, and the worker threw water back. A witness told The Daily News, "Busta never had any physical contact with [the worker] whatsoever."

The rapper was released by a judge on August 6 and is due back in court on November 6. Scott Leemon, a lawyer representing Busta, told The Daily News, "It's ridiculous, it was literally a bottle of Muscle Milk... this is clearly an attempt by someone to take advantage of Busta. He did nothing wrong."
