A Baby Lamb Showed Up To Lunch At A Restaurant In Greenpoint, Brooklyn

A baby lamb showed up at Five Leaves, a restaurant in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, and even though animals are not technically allowed inside the restaurant, the owners let the baby lamb take advantage of the al fresco dining setup just outside.

Nick Ramsey, a digital producer for MSNBC, spotted the lamb at Five Leaves and Ramsay told DNA Info that his first thought was, "Doesn't this restaurant also serve lamb?"

Other diners reportedly "ooed and awed" at the lamb, which politely refrained from making noise or eating. A Five Leaves employee was less impressed, telling DNA Info, "It's a lamb. I don't really care. Someone in Brooklyn has this f—-ng thing they're doing."

According to Ramsey's own Twitter feed, the baby lamb's name is Smokey, and has been looked after in other Brooklyn restaurants before. We do hope this leads to a whole summer full of sightings of Smokey.
