A Woman Stabbed Her Teenage Son Over An Argument About Pork Chops

An Ohio woman has been arrested for stabbing her 15-year-old son with a knife over missing pork chops, according to a police report obtained by WHIO-TV, an affiliate of CBS.

On Saturday, January 10, officials were summoned to the local Good Samaritan Hospital, where a young man reported that his mother, 57-year-old Yolanda Veasley, had attacked him during an argument earlier that day.

The teenager's aunt reportedly told police that his mother had made pork chops the evening before, and four leftover pork chops were packaged for later meals. "However, when she got up Saturday, three were gone and her son lied about eating them," according to WHIO-TV. "She then began to throw knives at the boy."

The woman had apparently been drinking, and the boy told police that he tried to run because "I had knives coming at my face." One knife made contact with his thumb, cutting it open. The boy then called his aunt to take him to the hospital, where he was given stitches.

In Veasley's apartment, police identified a knife of the size described, covered with dried blood stains and a towel "soaked in blood."

Veasley was subsequently booked on suspicion of felonious assault.
