White Castle Sliders Upgraded By Top Chefs

There's a reason Harold and Kumar fought their way through a series of humorous and unfortunate events to make it to White Castle. America's favorite hamburger restaurant is known for its classic, original, 100 percent beef patty sliders with onions and a pickle. Two professional chefs in California and Illinois put their own spin on the famous sliders to make the classic even more mouth-watering.

Chef Linh Nguyen of Santa Ana, California, has been a loyal fan of White Castle since he was 12 years old, according to Foodbeast. Nguyen, the executive chef at Crave Restaurant, added hatch chiles, bacon jam, and cornmeal fried pickles to incorporate some spice and crunchy texture.

Chef Tanya Baker of Chicago is a James Beard finalist with a specialty in Cajun-style cooking, adapted from her Louisiana-born father. In Baker's slider, she added a fried boudin cake, shrimp étouffée, and seasoned remoulade.
