What Do Tennis Players At The US Open Order From Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto?

Tennis pro Andy Murray may be an ice-cream man on his downtime, but he and other US Open participants have preferences when it comes to Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto's food.

Morimoto's ACES Restaurant is a staple eatery at the Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York, as are his Morimoto restaurants around the world. He personally serves the tennis stars and other athletes, and revealed what they typically order.

Not only does Serena Williams like to drink espresso, but she likes spicy salmon sushi with "lots of cucumber and crab meat." And Andy Murray "loves a spicy tuna roll."

Kei Nishikori, a professional tennis player from Japan, does not normally take the sushi route.

"He likes normal food, not just sushi," Morimoto told The Post Game. "He likes a rice bowl and miso soup. We do special orders for him."

Morimoto also serves seafood dishes at ACES. Last year, he served Montauk wild striped sea bass and sweet garlic-lime shrimp.
