We Can All Relate To This Rat Struggling To Drag A Slice Of Pizza Down Subway Steps

If ever there was an accurate visual representation of the daily grind, this short video of a dirty New York City subway rat dragging a slice of pizza twice its size down subway steps would be it.Someone captured video of this hilarious (albeit somewhat pathetic) urban vermin trying to bring home dinner in the form a semi-petrified New York slice. Since this magical moment was recorded, the 15-second video has since gone viral.

Spoiler Alert: The rat actually gives up after a few steps, scampering away from its cheesy find. Toward the end of the video, however, we see our rat friend peering up through a hole at the bottom of the subway stairs, looking longingly at the prize it was once determined to win. Unfortunately, we don't ever find out if this grungy Remy from Ratatouille doppelgänger ever goes back for the pizza. We like to think this little fella' was ultimately successful in his pizza heist. 

People all over the Twittersphere are turning the rat into an underdog champion and an uplifting metaphor for the struggle of life itself.
