Taco Bell has existed for more than half a century, so we were surprised to hear that the fast-food chain was finally introducing a queso dip. Taco Bell went through more than 20 iterations to come up with the perfect melty, cheesy Chile Green Queso dip.The queso with be released nationwide this month along with steakhouse burritos and steakhouse nachos.
Taco’s Bell’s signature queso starts with a basic cheese dip and is spiced up with the added flavor kick of “fire-roasted green chiles from the Hatch Valley of New Mexico, onions, jalapenos, tomatillos, a hint of cayenne,” according to a press release.
The queso also makes its way onto the new steakhouse burritos and nachos. Steakhouse burritos put a new twist on the old meat-and-potatoes staple with “heaping, double portions of grilled marinated steak, hearty potato bites, crispy bacon, cool sour cream, and our new zesty queso.” The nachos are also topped with piles of steak and queso sauce, as well as pico de gallo and avocado.
