Someone Invented Chocolate Blue Cheese And We're Not Sure How We Feel

Two ingredients that traditionally have stayed on opposite sides of the menu have come together at one cheesemonger in Melbourne, Australia: cheese and chocolate.Chocolate-covered cheese might sound like something you'd never see outside of a cheesecake but Curds and Whey have started importing wheels of blue cheese ripened with Choco21 chocolate liqueur and topped the whole thing with cocoa powder and chocolate chips from Italy and are now selling it in Australia.

The announcement was made via Instagram with a photo of the uniquely tantalizing product:

"Choco 21 cheese has arrived! Each wheel of this mild & delicate blue is ripened with Choco 21 Liqueur, rubbed with cocoa and decorated with chocolate chips,' the caption said.

Of course, this isn't the first time chocolate and cheese have been combined. Do you want to try combining these two dairy products yourself? Try our chocolate-dipped goat cheese balls recipe, or try spicing up a regular grilled cheese with chocolate.
