Soccer Fan Throws Cheeseburger On Field During Game; Goalie Eats It

Juan Olave, the goalkeeper for Argentina's Club Atlético Belgrano, received an unusual gift from an unusual fan during a recent match, in the form of a cheeseburger.

In the middle of a match, the burger landed squarely in front of Olave, and though it's unclear whether the fan meant to commend or heckle the goalie, he didn't seem to mind. Olave simply picked up the burger, took a few bites, and nodded to the crowd in thanks.

Perhaps the fan somehow intuited that the goalie needed a snack?  We can't know for sure, but it's not the first time that a professional athlete has taken a mid-game snack break.

Last year, in the middle of his match against Roger Federer, French tennis pro Gaël Monfils stopped to drink a can of Coke. Some months later, fellow tennis champ Serena Williams ordered an espresso "as black as it gets" to re-energize while competing for the Hopman Cup.
