Shake Shack Test Launches A Mobile Ordering App

Shake Shack has launched "a new way to Shack" with its first-ever iOS mobile ordering app, now being tested at the Midtown East Shack in New York City.

With the Shack App for iOS, customers can place their orders from their phones and choose a pick-up time. Pick-up times are in 15-minute increments and food is cooked to order, according to a release. The app is meant to be a convenient tool for customers and will hopefully result in shorter wait times.

"The Shack App marks a new era for Shake Shack. In creating our first-ever app, we took great care to develop a mobile ordering platform that maintains the high quality our guests have come to know and love, but now just a tap away," said Randy Garutti, CEO of Shake Shack. "We're meeting people where they are and giving our guests a whole new way to experience Shake Shack. We've got a lot to learn, and we intend to take our time listening to our guests and tweaking the app before launching it into additional markets."

The app features a Shake Shack location finder, saves favorite orders, and lets customers know about the latest events and promotions from the company.
