Shake Shack Madison Square Park Finally Returns May 20, And Of Course There's A Celebratory Burger

At long last, Shake Shack's flagship location will reopen in Madison Square Park at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 20.

After seven months of careful renovations, the Shack team would like you to know that the building will have the "exact same look and feel guests around the world have known and loved for 10 years," but has been "carefully rebuilt to last for many years to come."

On Wednesday, all Shake Shack fans are invited to join the team for a celebration, with a special gift for the first 100 guests in line and performance by the local brass-and-drum Brooklyn United Marching Band. From noon until 2 p.m., Bocce's Bakery will be on the scene to hand out free Shackburger Dog Biscuits.

And of course, it wouldn't be a Shake Shack party without a celebratory burger. Available exclusively at the park on opening day, the ParkBurger (single, $7.09; double, $9.39) is topped with cave-aged Jasper Hill Farm raw cow's milk cheese sauce and all-natural Niman Ranch applewood smoked bacon.

Plus, Shake Shack has teamed up with Brooklyn Brewery to create a special-edition collaborative beer called Shack Phoenix — an unfiltered lager brewed with 100 percent floor-malted Bohemian barley. Both the ParkBurger and Shack Phoenix will be available exclusively at the Madison Square Park Shack.
