The first two locations of Loco’l will be in Watts, Los Angeles and Tenderloin, San Francisco.

With two days to spare, Roy Choi has announced that on the evening of Tuesday, March 17, Loco’l — the chef’s sustainable, affordable, and ambitious answer to the current fast food market — has exceeded its $100,000 fundraising goal on Indiegogo.

What’s more, at $108,978 as of Thursday morning, Loco’l campaign is Indiegogo’s most-funded food project ever.

The campaign closes at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, so if you’re still interested in contributing, do it today.

To celebrate the campaign’s overwhelming success, Choi and Patterson have decided to give every single backer — past, present, and future —a free digital copy of the Loco’l comic book.

No matter the amount, each person who contributed to Loco’l on Indiegogo will get a copy, which will include storylines “where the Loco'l crew guards the precious seeds in a world of synthetic foods. And chef Daniel cooks late into the night to overturn the clown dictator.”
