Restaurant Known For 'Throwed Rolls' Gets Sued By Woman Who Was Hit In Head By A Roll

Lambert's Cafe, a restaurant known as "the home of throwed rolls," is facing a lawsuit from an irate customer who claims she suffered a "roll-related injury" after a wayward roll hit her in the head.

The Missouri-based restaurant chain, known for its long tradition of servers delivering dinner rolls to customers by throwing them across the room, is now accused of causing significant damage.

The lawsuit, filed by the Meehan Law Firm in St. Louis, alleges that Tucker "sustained a lacerated cornea with a vitreous detachment and all head, neck, eyes and vision were severely damaged," according to the Riverfront Times, which mistakenly identified the plaintiff as male.

The suit further alleges that the restaurant should have been aware of the dangers of the roll-throwing tradition.

Tucker is seeking at least $25,000 in damages to cover the costs of medical bills and legal fees.
