Reese's Has Released Crunchy Cookie Cups, And They're Divine

Reese's peanut butter cups — the candy store aisle staple — just got a texture makeover. After weeks of teasing fans to guess the new mystery flavor with a #Cupspiracy social media barrage, the secret is out: Crunchy Cookie Cup is the newest Reese's peanut butter cup variety. The peanut butter cup product, filled with crunchy cookie bits, will be available nationwide starting this May.

"Reese's fanatics are one-of-a-kind. They have a love and devotion to the brand that is unlike anything I have ever seen, and have been buzzing at the potential thought of a new innovation from the brand," said Ryan Riess, senior brand manager for Reese's. "We're excited to finally let the secret out of the bag and end the #Cupspiracy — announcing the new Reese's Crunchy Cookie Cup. You could say we crushed it!"

We had the chance to try the new Reese's Crunchy Cookie Cups and were astounded at the taste and satisfyingly crunchy snap. Peanut butter fans may be disappointed, as the addition of the cookie bits overpowers the creamy peanut taste of the original. But the added flavor of the tiny chocolate chips combined the best aspects of two of our favorite treats: Reese's cups and chocolate chip cookies. We heartily approve of this sweet treat mashup and will be buying more.
