Red Lobster Is Coming Out With A Lobster Roll

The lobster roll — whether you prefer them with butter or mayo — is perhaps the most iconic New England dish. So frankly we're surprised it took Red Lobster this long to add it to the menu. The national seafood chain this week announced a limited-time lunch menu with three lobster dishes for $9.99 — including a lobster roll topped with Maine lobster meat tossed in lemon aïoli and served on a toasted roll split on its side.

The mayo-topped (or in this case aïoli-topped) lobster roll is known as Maine-style to langoustine lovers, and differs from the butter-drenched Connecticut-style lobster roll.

The limited-time addition is only available for lunch during the chain's springtime Lobsterfest. Other "Lobster Lover's Lunch" options include the lobster-topped Caesar salad and a half-portion of the chain's popular lobster and langostino pizza.
