Olive Garden Is Entering The Food Truck Business Starting This Month In New York City

We didn't see that coming. In an effort to promote a menu of brand-new sandwiches made with its legendary breadsticks, Olive Garden is hitting the road. The Italian-American casual chain restaurant will be embarking upon a cross-country food truck tour starting in New York City this month. The seven-week tour will hit 19 different cities across the country, as Olive Garden tries to tout their new "Signature Breadstick Bun Sandwiches."

You can also get the breadstick sandwiches at any non-mobile Olive Garden location: they come in Italian meatball and chicken parmigiana varieties. The "Breadstick Nation" tour will make stops in Florida, Arizona, and Utah later this month.

"We're always looking for new ways to reach and engage our most loyal fans," Jose Duenas, executive vice president of marketing for Olive Garden, said in a news release. "Not only are we giving guests more ways to enjoy our most iconic menu item, we're making it easy for our guests to try our Signature Breadstick Bun Sandwiches."
