The Obamas Dine at Enrique Olvera’s Cosme

The First Family indulged in tuna tostadas, blue shrimp, mole, and Olvera’s famous duck carnitas

The POTUS was escorted to the restaurant by a 13-car motorcade.

Not one to miss out on an opportunity to enjoy the culinary offerings in New York City, President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama dined at Enrique Olvera’s Cosme in the Flatiron District on Monday night. The president is currently in town for the U.N. General Assembly.

The Obamas arrived with a 13-car motorcade, Grub Street detailed, and an Instagram post by Ricardo Verdejo showed the receipt for their dinner. They ate “tuna tostadas with yuzu and avocado, burrata, lobster with ginger mojo, short ribs, and, naturally, the duck carnitas,” for which Olvera is famous.

Eater reported the president attended a Hillary Clinton fundraiser at Danny Meyer’s home on Sunday evening.
