M&M's Newest Fan-Chosen Flavor Is Your Morning Wakeup Call

The bland days of just plain milk chocolate candies with colorful shells are over for the M&M's brand.We've seen birthday cake M&M's, pumpkin spice M&M's, pecan pie, and a holiday café mocha flavor. Now, the newest variety from Mars will be the fan-chosen coffee nut M&M — made with peanuts and coffee flavor — which won out over Honey Nut, Coffee Nut, and Chili Nut. Sadly, these M&M's won't actually have any caffeine.

The coffee nut flavor, which is being dubbed "America's favorite peanut," will hit shelves nationwide in August. The flavor won't be limited edition either; You'll ostensibly be able to snag some peanut coffee M&M's all year 'round.

The original contest was meant to coincide with the presidential election as a fun contest. Mars got ahold of Veep's Tony Hale to make the announcement to Yellow, the popular M&M cartoon character.
