Michelle Obama And Ina Garten Reunite Over Lunch In New York City

Former first lady Michelle Obama and Food Network's Barefoot Contessa Ina Garten were spotted catching up over lunch at the Mark Hotel in New York City.

The two were "chatting and laughing" at the Mark Restaurant by Jean-Georges at the Mark Hotel, Page Six reported.

Obama was known for her White House vegetable garden and wellness initiatives, such as healthier school lunch policies, so it's fitting for the two to enjoy a meal at the restaurant, whose lunch menu is filled with juices, smoothies, fresh salads, and more.

This wasn't the first time Obama and Garten enjoyed a meal together — in 2016, Obama was featured in a one-hour special of Garten's show, Barefoot in Washington. In the episode, the two enjoyed vegetable tarts and salad wraps with Greek yogurt feta cheese dip using ingredients from the White House garden, People reported.

Garten is also no stranger to the White House, as she once worked as a staff member in the Office of Management and Budget in 1978.
