McDonald’s Introduces Loaded Fries

In a world first, this classic menu item receives a makeover

Australian Macca’s customers can choose between Bacon & Cheese Sauce and Guacamole & Salsa Loaded Fries.

Just days after the announcement of the launch of all-day breakfast for McDonald’s across Australia, McDonald’s introduces loaded fries to menus. Aussie Macca’s customers can choose between Guacamole & Salsa and Bacon & Cheese Sauce Fries, available in single and share packs. Loaded Fries can also be added to meals.

Mark Lollback, Chief Marketing Officer of McDonald’s Australia, tells The Huffington Post Australia, “By adding guac and salsa, as well as bacon and cheese sauce to our fries, we’re following a trend our customers started. While our fries are delicious by themselves, for a long time now Aussies have been experimenting with them, dunking and dipping them in everything from ketchup to our Soft Serve."

For those that don’t live in Australia, don’t fret just yet. According to Mashable, “[Australia] has a track record for being a test market for new ideas within the fast food giant. McCafe was first trialled in Melbourne, which has an impressive coffee scene; as well as the custom burger range Create Your Taste. Both ideas are now in the U.S. market.”
