A Man Is Trying To Retweet His Way To A Year Of Free Wendy's Chicken Nuggets

Social media is a powerful tool that can be used to raise awareness for famine across the world, or make the internet band together to help one man try to win chicken nuggets from Wendy's.

Twitter user Carter Wilkerson from Reno, Nevada, tweeted at the fast-food chain to see how many retweets it would take to get a year of free chicken nuggets. The brand responded with a near impossible number: 18 million.

After racking up thousands of retweets, Wilkerson tried negotiating with Wendy's to lower the number of retweets to a more realistic 180,000. Other Twitter users started chiming in to encourage Wendy's to cut the man some slack and give him free chicken nuggets.

There haven't been any updates on whether or not Wilkerson won his nuggets, but at least he got his 15 minutes of fame.
