Man Orders a Plain Cheeseburger and Gets Something Quite Unexpected

McDonald’s employee takes request a bit too far, serving a piece of melted cheese on a bun

Bradford, U.K., man Alex Moran ordered a plain cheeseburger at a McDonald’s during his lunch break, and realized too late that his order was not what he was expecting. Moran’s no-frills plain cheeseburger was a slice of melted cheese on a bun, reports The Sun.

Moran said, “I couldn't believe it. The first thing I did was show one of my work friends who immediately started laughing. I didn't take it back because I didn't have enough time left on my lunch. I was a bit annoyed at first but saw the humor in it.” He continues, “So I just had to basically eat the McDonald's equivalent of a cheese toastie. I haven't complained about it as it's not worth it over a burger.”

Though Moran has ordered this particular sandwich before, it has never been served to him burgerless.

On the incident, a McDonald’s spokesperson said, “We apologize for this inconvenience and believe it happened following the wrong interpretation of what Mr. Moran ordered. We would encourage him to get in touch with our customer care team, who is best placed to look into this.”
