Man Attempts To Rob A Dollar Store After Buying A Snickers Bar

Need a break? Grab a Snickers — especially if you're trying to rob a dollar store.

A man in Colorado Springs attempted to rob a Dollar Tree on Union Blvd at 11:26 a.m. on September 10.

The man reportedly walked into the store and bought a Snickers bar. As the clerk opened the register to complete the sale, he demanded that the clerk hand him all of the money from it.

The clerk immediately closed the register and the man asked for the change from his Snickers transaction. He left the store without any contest.

Police told KRDO NewsChannel 13 that the man had a gun pointed at the clerk, but no one witnessed him in possession of a gun.

The man was described to be in his 40's and wearing a shirt with rapper Tupac's face and the words "thug life" on it.

It's true what they say in the commercials — you're not you when you're hungry and Snickers satisfies
