Looks Like We'll Be Enjoying Our Ecto Cooler With 'Key Lime Slime' Twinkies

"What about the Twinkie?" A teaser of a limited-edition Ghostbusters 'Key Lime Slime' Twinkie has surfaced, thanks to a tweet from ENM Sales & Services. 

While it doesn't seem like the sponge cakes will be 35 feet long or weigh 600 pounds — the representation of NYC's abnormal amount of psychokinetic energy from the first Ghostbusters film — the Twinkies will feature an "artificially flavored key lime creamy filling."

The outside packaging is completely "Ghostbustered-out," describes FoodBeast. The entire box is green, with green- colored slime oozing over the sides. It features the Ghostbusters logo, accompanied with the text "Only in Theaters."

Key Lime Slime Twinkies join the return of Hi-C's Ecto Cooler in anticipation of the Ghostbusters reboot, which debuts in theaters on July 15, 2016 and will star Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones as the ghost-battling foursome.

Though an official release date for the Twinkies has yet to be named, FoodBeast predicts a late May or early June launch.
