Lady Gaga's Former Personal Chef Opened A Restaurant In New York City

Chef Bo O'Connor is pop star Lady Gaga's childhood friend and former personal chef. She has lived in New York City since age six and is now opening her own contemporary American restaurant in Astoria, Queens called The Pomeroy.

The restaurant, which opened on October 6 (Lady Gaga even made an appearance!), is named after and located on the original Pomeroy Street, now known as 37th Street. It's located between 36th and 37th Streets on Ditmars Boulevard.

Small plate dishes include frickles with yogurt dill dip and arancini balls with porcini mushrooms and Fontina Val d'Aosta; large plates such as fried chicken with honey carrot and jalapeƱo dipping sauces and skirt steak with herb chimichurri, grilled corn, cherry tomatoes, and basil; and brown butter pecan bars and free-form ice cream sandwiches for dessert.

The cocktail menu puts a twist on traditional drinks, such as the Pom-Sidecar with cognac, fresh pineapple and lemon juice, and a cherry. Other cocktails on the menu pay tribute to neighborhood street names, such as the Ditmars Blvd., which contains whiskey, honey, fresh lemon juice, smoked lemon peel, and rosemary.
