On Saturday, July 25, Chicago chef and Mexican cuisine expert Rick Bayless will be the guest of honor at a special fiesta in the heart of Kentucky, at the iconic Maker's Mark Distillery.

The event will be hosted by Christopher Hirsheimer and Melissa Hamilton of the beautiful Canal House periodical cookbook series, both of whom, along with Bayless, are members of The Daily Meal Council and ranked among The 60 (Plus) Coolest People in Food and Drink.

In addition to a real mariachi band, Mexican ice pops, and a Maker's Mark margarita, chef Bayless will serve tacos with slow-smoked pork and ancho barbecue sauce, grilled corn on the cob with chile mayonnaise rolled in queso (also known as elote), shrimp ceviche, and refreshing horchata.

Finally, Bayless will be available to sign copies of his latest cookbook, More Mexican Everyday.

Festival on the Grounds with Rick Bayless will take place between 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and tickets are available for $30 per guest. Children 12 and younger are welcome to join for free.

By the way, if you'd like to take part in a multiple-course dinner featuring the chef's dishes and cocktail pairings, Maker's Mark is also hosting an intimate dinner with Bayless the evening before, on Sunday, July 24. Tickets are $200 and you can check out the detailed menu ahead of time
