Jamie Oliver Is Expanding His Italian Restaurants To India

U.K. celebrity chef Jamie Oliver is opening his first restaurant in India.

New Delhi Television (NDTV) reported that Jamie's Pizzeria and Jamie's Italian will be opening in Delhi.

Oliver is opening his restaurants with the help of International Market Management (IMM), a London investment company, and Carnation Hospitality, a research and investing firm in Delhi. Jasper Reid, founder of IMM, told NDTV, "We chose Delhi because we found a great launch site and feel that we can offer something new to the market, this is to say highly accessible, affordable restaurants serving great quality Italian food sourced with the greatest care."

The restaurant will serve the same Italian fare as the locations in London. There will be fresh pasta made in-house, pizzas, salads, cold cuts, and desserts at Jamie's Italian. The menu at Jamie's Pizzeria will feature thin-crust pizzas, salads, sides, and desserts.

Reid said that there will be a broader vegetarian range at these restaurants, including vegetarian planks and a superfood salad.

Oliver has many other restaurants outside of the U.K., including outposts in cities like São Paulo, Moscow, and Hong Kong.
