Ina Garten, Mario Batali, And Other Renowned Chefs Are Whipping Up $100 Picnic Baskets (For A Good Cause)

This summer in New York City you have the chance to kick back under the stars and enjoy dinner prepared by star chefs Mario Batali, Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Ina Garten, Danny Bowien of Mission Chinese, and Angie Mar of the Beatrice Inn at the Eat (RED) Food and Film Fest.

At the summer night picnic, guests will receive a gourmet meal in a tote with a red blanket and complementary cocktails by (BELVEDERE)RED, wine by Josh Cellars, beer, water, and free popcorn, according to the event page. Along with the dinner, there will be a screening of the 1993 film Sleepless in Seattle.

"I love to take something ordinary and make it really special! And that's exactly what (RED) and my fellow chefs are doing on June 20th, by transforming an outdoor movie night into a fantastic food experience to fight AIDS," Garten said in a statement. "I'm proud to be supporting this event, and to see great food become a force for good in the world."

The event will take place on June 20 in Bryant Park. Tickets for the event will cost $100, and all the proceeds will go to organizations that support the fight against AIDS. Bank of America will match each ticket purchased with an equal donation to the U.S. Fund for the Global Fund, with a maximum donation of $100,000, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation will offer an additional matching donation.
